Ben's Pet Pantry was started because there was a need to help struggling pet parents care and feed their pets.
Ben's Pet Pantry helps by providing temporary pet food assistance to residents in El Paso County and surrounding areas.
The Pantry was conceived in August of 2011, after seeing an increase in people needing short-term help with the cost of caring for their animals.
Pets ARE family and as such should be taken care of just as you would your human family, pets offer emotional support, which is essential to a person's well being.
Our Mission:
To "Lend a helping paw" so pets can live better lives by providing for their basic needs.
Our Vision:
Help pet parents meet the basic needs of their companion pets by providing temporary food and services the pet parent would otherwise be unable to meet due to economic hardship.
We give out food by appointment ONLY.
We ask for a donation per pet helped. But will not turn anyone away.
We are the first pet food bank in the El Paso area and are dedicated to providing assistance to pet owners facing hardship.
** We hope that by coming to the aid of pet parents, they are able to keep their beloved pets instead of finding the pets an alternative home.
